qr code generatorI was looking at some curved edging pavers online at HomeDepot.com (hyperlinks removed) and saw the comment from “acer”:  Info needed on circle sizes and how many needed to make different size circles so as to make a round circle without ‘weaving

A lengthy google search on the Internet turned up no solution and, in my experience, if google cannot find it, the information is either very obscure, classified, or just not there. So for ‘acer’, and other searchers:

How to calculate a circle from a single segment or chord:

qr code generatorThis “Line-Lock” is an extension of my Digital Tome Encoder-Decoder circuit. It periodically transmits a “serial number” over the local power buss, and any compatible device – a ForensX-enabled device, according to my “ForensX” patent application – reads the serial number, and either enables the device to operate, configures the device, or uses the serial number in a ForensX operation … perhaps as one element of an encryption algorithm. qr code generatorI originally designed these as a means for digital devices to communicate between themselves autonomously over the AC or DC power buss (power supply lines), as described in my original “ForensX” patent application. Here, I present the basic circuit, and you are free to do with it as you will as I have donated this to the Public Domain.

Before I present the basic transceiver circuit, I want to discuss some of the less apparent caveats and notes about using them. Continue reading »

qr code generatorHere are  a few useful Power Supply circuits that I donated to the Public Domain.  Download the PDF links for printing.   Where did these come from?   Back in 2000 I founded Voveo Technologies, LLC (2000 thru 2004) to develop and patent some of my (earlier) security technologies.  In 2004 these technologies were  acquired (along with myself) by another technology company, and I was bound for a period of seven years (until 2011).   Then the technology rights reverted back to me again, and I placed them into the Public Domain; free for anyone and everyone to use for any purpose.  Enough history for now . . . http://gmrad.com Portal closed in December, 2012. Now this is a scientific and technical Blog.

The old http://gmrad.com Portal closed in December, 2012. Now this is a scientific and technical Blog.

qr code generatorSorry guys, but the old GMRAD Portal is gone.   If I had received any positive feedback during all those years I had it up, I would not have taken it down.  While it’s nice to know that someone is looking for me (or at least my work), it’s too late because it’s gone and lost to history.

Okay, so maybe it’s not completely lost.  So here’s the deal now: I will resurrect some of my tools and  utility software downloads from the old Portal (so do check back occasionally).

This time, I’m making the site a lot more visitor-friendly; something that my old Portal clearly was not!  (But at least the downloads were easy.)  Admitted, it was hard to give any feedback on my content  because the only way to leave a comment or suggestion on the old Continue reading »

qr code generatorWelcome to my Blog. This used to be my Gregg Morrison R & D business site, but I closed that company in the last week of 2012. Now this site is my personal blog site; a place where I can share some of my scientific and technical expertise with you.

This blog is geared mostly towards technical and scientific subjects and I will try to keep them interesting, though these can get very technical. I will occasionally go into social matters that affect me, my friends, and our grandchildren. Both yours and mine. I’m an old retired Navy Senior Chief, so don’t expect any sugar-coating on things.  I tell you this because it has been suggested by some friends that I might have a few little quirks, Continue reading »
